I got winded our for a few nites solo on Perent Lake.
I have no data to support my ideas on wind, but it sure seems to be a windy spring.
Last 3 days in Detroit Lakes has been 20-40 mph gusts, Duluth has seemed equally windy this spring when I'm there.

It's that way in Maine too, Lindy. And even though it's mid-June, we're still in the fifties to low sixties.

So windy! We've recently purchased a motorboat, and even its pretty windy for that as well!

It's been windy!

I would definitely agree from my solo trip the first part of June. The gusts were so powerful.

I guess I will add the central Sierra foot hills on the west coast, to the, windier than normal for this time of year.

New England's spring was also windy. I called it the Eternal Wind.

It’s been really windy here too around St Cloud. Kind of hard to land boats at the dock with a 40 mph crosswind. I almost broke my dock hook pulling my pontoon over yesterday.

It’s just you Linden, the rest of us have blown away.

Totally agree. Almost no thunderstorms but just windy from sun up to sun down. I have been getting some really good practice with wind in my solo on our local lake. With a kayak paddle, I have safely handled some strong headwinds and tailwinds. I save the single blade for the quiet waters.

Was listening to MPR said the month of June was higher daily wind averages than normal.

We just spent a week on a smaller lake south of Leech, the resort owner said it's been a very windy spring so far. We had 2 extra breezy days but still made it out in the boats for the most part. Would have been some tough paddling those days.

Well it is extremely windy lately. Today 94 degrees F. and very strong winds in the Mille lacs area and everything is turning brown. The corn even as short it is I can tell it is starting to curl up.
Talking big rain of 1 inch Thursday? They said that last week also. We will see?

Very windy all month at the end of The Gunflint Trail. Almost constant the last three weeks even at night. I like it because it keeps the insects grounded but I bet it’s bad for canoeing the bigger lakes like Sea Gull and Saganaga.

I've biked much more than I've solo paddled mainly due to the constant wind in northern Minnesota.

Definitely been more windy this spring. Every time out on the lake is a battle.

I've noticed the same. Ive chalked it up to the fact that 2020 both blows and sucks so bad that there was bound to be some extra wind to deal with.
