I am looking at a shuttle from Grand Portage to Crane lake June 24th. $650 total (I am solo) and I would like to ride share if anyone is looking to do this trip. I'd split 60/40 if one other part or another arrangement if we can get more.

I am doing an off border route from Crane to Superior.

Let me know.

Thanks,
John

Sorry I can't help you, but I'd be interested to hear a little more about your route.

Driving up Wednesday morning and meeting the shuttle at noon.

Last call?

My plan, probably get a few miles in Wednesday night.

From Crane-Little Vermillion
Loon-Hustler-Oyster-Agnes-Lac La Croix-Iron Crooked-Friday Bay
Here there are two options for me. #1 Stay on the border to Basswood or #2 head south to Papoose-Gun-Fourtown-Horse-Tin Car-Jackfish Bay-Pipestone-Black

Both routes likely joining at Wind Lake-Moose-Ensign-Ima-Fraser over to Elton-Little Sag-west Fern-French-Fay-Paulson-Sea Gull-Sag-Granite River-Gunflint-and again probably stay along the border and finishing up at Ft George. If I am wanting to get off the big lakes, I can drop down to west pike to john and S Fowl.

I like various lakes and don't mind portages to break up time so we will see how my body does sitting for 12+ mile stretches.

Getting the final packing together.

Sounds like a great adventure! All the way across the BWCA...and not the shortest way. I like it!

Would you please share the information for the shuttle service you used?
We are looking at a similar route.
Thank you very much.

I hope your trip went well. I was registered for the Border route challenge but that was cancelled this morning. I may go ahead and do the trip on my own. Could you please share the information for the shuttle service you used with me as well. Also, where did you park your vehicle? At the outfitter? Or did you arrange for parking somewhere at Grand Portage? Thanks

Anyone interested in sharing the shuttle on Sept. 11th or 12th

Tim Barton at Piragis is who I went through. On time and professional.
