Travis, I really enjoyed your trip report. I especially enjoyed the keeping of your statistics....”30 fish...7 eagles....28 groups...96 people and 1 dog....73 ticks” (yikes!)
Etc....

I would love to have seen some pictures of your trip. It sounds like you took some. I thought you were going to disappoint without a description of your food for 14 days, but you included that at the end. I liked that you included which campsites you liked the best. I loved that you took your dog even though you commented it would have understandably been easier without her. (That’s what families do ;)). It sounds like the wind was your biggest challenge.

I did enjoy your report, enough detail to be interesting but not enough to be boring and lose interest.

Thank you! I appreciate the message and your comments. It’s always a challenge to write a good trip report. One I feel like I’m still working on. I’ve been journaling for years and had a lot of material to look back at. Started keeping statistics on our trips after a trip to Alaska. The wife and I drove over 14k miles and I wish I would have recorded more info like how many bears we saw! So, I started adding it in.

I am still in the editing process but if you’re on Instagram I’ll be posting many of my pictures at some point in the next week or two on travis_j.camp_photography and I’ll be posting all of them on our travel Facebook page The Wandering Camp Wagon. Feel free to check those sites out in a week or so. I took a few shots I’m fairly proud of but I gotta give credit where it’s due! The BWCA is a spectacular place!

Oh! And I couldn’t agree more! Our pup is family and with the exception of going overseas she always joins us on our adventures! She’s spent a total of 26 days with us in the boundary’s and been to over 35 states!

Enjoyed the report! Makes me very jealous you had two weeks to explore this area. I did a solo from Little Indian Sioux back to LIS in four days (Hustler, Finger, Loon). You got to really enjoy it.

Thank you! We did! We had multiple days of just relaxing and exploring the lakes. How was hustler!? We hiked over and enjoyed the portage from Oyster Lake side but didn’t get a chance to explore the lake any. Looks like a beautiful lake! Man! You sure did some miles. Sounds like a great trip as well!
