Does having a bent shaft paddle make it harder to do a Canadian stroke?

Bent shaft paddles are designed for hit and switch paddling from a seated position. It is not difficult to add a j-stroke (what I call ruddering or progressive ruddering). Because of the bend it does make the Canadian stroke (or knifing J. or knifing progressive ruddering) awkward at best.
