Anyone out there making these and selling them?
Also, if using a Chameleon that has a ridgeline, do I need a separate one for my tarp?

Grandma L. from this site sent me a pattern a few years back to make one. My wife did the actual sewing.

I can send you the PDF of the pattern if you like.

I keep my tarp and hammock separate. The tarp is often wet and I don't want my hammock and stuff to be.

If your tarp has a ring on each end in the middle you don't need a ridgeline. Usually tarps made for over hammocks have these and you use a cord on each end to the trees.

I also have a dedicated tarp and ground cloth "wet bag" that I put them in. I also use an old nylon backpackers poncho for a cover of my packs or firewood. This goes in that bag too.

The thing I love about syl nylon tarps is you can take your hammock down then loosen the 4 corner ropes on the tarp and flap each end vigorously. This will shake just about all the water off of it.

I pack the tarp in designated dry bag (full of wet gear).
I bought snakeskins from a person on Etsy. Mine are a two-set (one on each end). I see others that are single sleeve. They are lightweight mesh; others made with heavier mesh. No ridgeline on my tarp system. Also, I bought 1/8" reflective poly cord through Cooke Custom Sewing at their booth last fall. Love it.

Tarp Skins: Love them. Have 2 tarps, one with skins from Simply Light Designs and another mesh one from Hammock Gear or Dutch, I don't recall.

I really like the silnylon one , a 2 piece from SLD MUCH better. Slides in/off effortlessly and being a 2 piece, there isn't much fabric at each end of the tarp when the tarp is deployed. The single piece mesh one has way too much of a stiffer fabric at the end of the tarp. I'd sell that one, may do that. Great product, just prefer the 2 piece SLD design.

Simply Light Designs is a great company, almost a 1 man shop, that makes very high quality, reasonable prices and ships same day/next day most of the time, despite the fact he probably sews it that day.

Tarp Ridgelines: Don't use them... use a Dutch Stingerz on each end. Love it !
I'm 6'3" and rarely have my tarp ridge w/in 6" of my Chameleon's structural ridge line. I do have a tarp external/full ridgeline setup from Dutch I hold sell. It's new / unused.... Man... I've got a bunch of stuff as I was learning what I liked and didn't like (but others do) that I should sell :)

I am a big fan of Simply Light Designs as well.

For the tarp I use the SLD single snakeskin. I tried the double snakeskin but prefer the single. For my hammock and guilts I use the SLD catch-all sack.

Great! Glad you are sharing my old pattern! Good luck with your project. I am working on a banana type under quilt this weekend.

That would be great!
If you can locate it, send it over and I'll make my own.
Thanks!!
