I’m looking for the hard shell food packs. I would like the square ones with a harness, not the round blue ones. What is the bender that makes these. Can’t find them online. Would like to secure one well before my trip. Also do these secure well enough to hang from hungry bears?

Look at the pet food containers that use the Gamma seal lids. They sell various sizes of square ones. Do a search on , Gamma2 Vittles Vault Outback Airtight Pet Food Storage Container

We bought ours at pet smart or petco. Gamma style lids. We don’t hang. We hide them like Easter eggs in the woods away from our tent. Have used them for past 3 years. No problem with bears.

Not real sure what you are looking for but Boundary Waters Journal sells a poly box that fits in a number of portage packs and Kondos sells a rigid pack liner.

For years I used two square plastic cat litter containers that had a I.D. of 9 1/8 x 9 1/8 x 11 7/8, both of these easily fit size by side in a pack like the CCS Guide with the dimensions of 26" H x 19" W x 12" D. Their was enough room on top for all your cooking supplies.

I basically wore these containers to pieces and you just can't find perfectly square cat litter containers around.

I happened upon those plastic green square containers at Menard's and what do you know, they are a little bigger (I.D. 9 1/8" x 9 1/8" x 13") then my old containers and a I think a little thicker plastic.

Give them a try I think you will be happy.

Thanks. The poly food box on bw journal was what I was thinking of. I’m hoping their sturdy enough to use as a camp seat also. Not a deal breaker though.

I have never used one but have handled one. I'm skeptical it would do well as a seat.
