We just got back from a trip to this area and the water levels on the Moosecamp river are VERY low - behind the 2nd beaver dam there was only a trickle of water in the river - 2-3" deep at most for quite awhile and wide mud flats both sides. It's pretty close to impassable if you're fully loaded and not fun even if you're not (we met two young guys who did it with an empty canoe - spent more than 2 hours and a lot of mud-slogging to finish it)... We would not recommend this for 2020 unless it rains (a lot).

After we went down the horse river on the way to crooked, I decided to go around through gun and fairy on the way out. I was worried about that water level there.
