like Kawishiwi river-Gabro. I would think with recent rains might bring a few mosquitoes out but being dry earlier might of kept them down?

I was in that area over July 4th. The only skeeters to speak of were on the swampy part of the snake river entry portage. But the deer flies were quite fierce. I bet that rain has brought them out though, although they might not have gotten as much rain there either.

went up LIS a week ago. Bugs were tolerable during the day just a little pesky. Once night came around oh boy... Could hear the entire area sound up with mosquitos.

Was just at Lake One over the weekend. Lots of the ankle biter flies. Only experienced mosquitoes right when it got dark. None in the morning or during the day.

no deer flies? usually the ankle biting flies look like a house fly but are not or you get the big horse fly which take a huge chunk out of you.

Yes, deer flies too but I figured that was assumed.
