Good Day, and thanks in advance, for reading.
I am getting rid of my bed. It's too big, and my apartment is too small.
I must sacrifice the back bedroom for the cats' (yes, plural *shakes head*) litter robot. I WILL NOT sleep in the same room as a litter box. Life is too short, and there is already too much pain.
Therefore, I will be sleeping in the front room, which currently doubles as a workout and TV room.
I need to get rid of the couch and acquire a hammock for sleeping. (This also justifies the use of this room as storage space for sporting goods *thumb up* :)
I know I can sleep comfortably in a hammock. I just want recommendations for for buying a hammock that will be used indoors, as the primary sleeping arrangement for 1 (one) person, and 0 (zero) strong-willed, super affectionate, and adorable kitty cats. Pray for me, that I can achieve the goal of solo-sleeping.

What recommendations do you have for comfortable sleeping hammocks?
I'm 6'2", 215 pounds, and as my friends have called me, 'a polar bear' when it comes to my internal thermometer. I've always been able to fall asleep quickly, and sleep well, regardless of the circumstance.

Frankly, IDK even what questions to ask. Am I making too big a deal of this?
Should I just buy one of the budget hammocks and see how it goes?
Stand -vs- wall anchors? I think I'd prefer the wall anchor route, as it would save so much space by being able to hang the hammock up against itself when not in use.

Here's my recommendations:
Dutchware wide Chameleon hammock body
adjustable wall anchors
Hammock Gear Incubator underquilt
Dutchware Beetle Buckle suspension
I'd do a 40 degree or 50 degree underquilt. You do want something under you to prevent cold butt syndrome. Let us know what you decide to go with!

Lets go back a step. The litter box is in the bedroom? May I suggest putting it in the bathroom. Thats where I put my cats when I had an apartment.
I agree, I would NEVER sleep where my cats #$@%.
Just a thought.

While I don't really like having the litter box in my bedroom, it sure beats having them use my bed instead. Especially rude when you are in it.

Let's go forward a step:
Any recommendations on a hammock?

Marty, do NOT get a cheapie hammock. There are several good options on the market. You will continue to sleep sound, possibly in a horizontal position, and awake with no backaches if you invest a bit just as you would on a good quality bed set. I like what unshavenman recommended. It's a solid set-up that will handle your size/weight requirements for years to come. Also, an easy resale when you choose.
P.S. "Dogs Rule" in my little world. ;)

You mentioned in your earlier post that you know you can sleep comfortably in a hammock. What hammocks have worked for you so far?

ALso, how big is the room in which you will be hanging? Rent or own? House or Apartment?

My home currently has one permanent, indoor hammock. It is hung beneath a 2x4 based lofted bed structure. This prevents any potentially damaging forces being applied to my house structure. I also have a Tensa Outdoor Hammock stand that I use when I camp where appropriate trees are not available. Many full-time hangers are using this indoors, in place of their bed.

As far as hammock recommendations: it's like underwear. You gotta put your own butt in 'em to know what you like.

Good Luck

I really like my Warbonnet Blackbird, but have also slept well in a Byers of Maine. At a different point in my life, I also got rid of my bed and slept on a sheepskin on the floor and loved it. I didn’t have the cats though, so sheepskin might not be feasible. Good luck.

I own Warbonnet Ridgerunner and Blackbird Hammocks. I choose to sleep in the Ridgerunner. I am a back/side sleeper and can do both in this hammock. You would need the double layer at your body weight. I would suggest the new 40d dream tex. Being a bridge hammock you can easily slide a foam or air mattress under neath with out having to spend money on an underquilt.
