Hey Alex - looks like you had an amazing time, great report. The pictures are gorgeous, and glad to hear you had success fishing. I was on a backpacking trip once where the outfitter forgot a whole dinner and a whole breakfast for 10 teenage boys - we also fished, rationed, and made well with what we had.
One thing to note - and please don't take this as a criticism - but it is generally frowned upon to add to camp furniture or to build fish holding areas with rocks on the shoreline. It's a LNT thing. Some folks (I don't get this one) feel the same way about leaving firewood...but I feel like that's an awesome courtesy and we try to do so as discreetly and cleanly as possible when we leave camp as well.
Thanks for taking young ones out, it is important, and I hope you have similar success in the future!

Fish corrals are a big no-no. Bushcrafted structures and furniture are also a no-no.

No major harm done, and it is understood that no one can be perfect--there are a lot of people doing far worse especially these days--but I (and others) would still appreciate a little more LNT mindfulness on future trips if you could.

Sounds like a great trip, and I'll be in a nearby area in a couple weeks myself.

Lesson learned on the fish corral. Boys were trying to protect their catch from the snapping turtle. However, furniture was already present - several big logs on top of small ones to form benches, so we added to them at one campsite to improve it thinking it would be better than we left it. Next time we will think differently. Thanks for the info.

2 adults and 8 boys. So there were 10 people in your group?

"Least used item; extra clothes."

I have the same experience! Have you ever read the Jack London short story, "To Build a Fire"?

If you haven't, there's a guy in the winter bush who treasures his matches so much that he doesn't use them and dies.

That's me and my clean clothing: I treasure my clean clothing so much that I don't don them and that sweet pine Northwoods scent dies.

I wondered the same thing at first:

"We divided into two groups, one of 7 and one of 3 as we had two different permits - one for EP62 and one for EP64"

Glad you were camped close enough to fix the food issue. I have always packed my own food, so your experience has reinforced why. Sounds like a fun trip and lots of successful fishing.

No, two campsites and two permits - 9 is the max together per the permit.

Thanks for the trip report, sounds great. Thought I'd show you this regarding your thoughts on wishing you had a bucket. Here's the one I bought, dirt cheap and very useful for everything from hauling dirty dishes back into the woods for washing to, of course, putting the fire out: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DLP3M2N/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
