Just an FYI type of thing...if you forgot your inflatable kayak on the Disappointment to Parent portage earlier this week, it's still there and providing some excellent breeding habitat for mosquitoes.

Hmmm,

Trying to put the story together, my guess is it was left somewhere where it was able to float away at night and someone put it at the next portage trying to help.

I'm surprised anyone would even take that with them. I'm not surprised they lost it or left it there. What's happening to our country?

Apparently not their main travel boat...unless a person is missing too. I can't imagine dragging an extra thing like that along, plus a pump to fill it. I haven't looked at a map - is this portage near an entry ?

Very close to Snowbank.

So maybe they got in one or two lakes and realized it could not keep up with the canoes, or was no good in the wind, or maybe had a small leak? So they just ditched it? Maybe the party was still in the BW somewhere and will at least have the decency to take it out with them.

Has the USFS been notified. Maybe the person who's this is/was injured and or now deceased.

Or it could be as other said left behind for someone else to clean up.
