Hey all - headed into EP 14 LIS N the second week of August. Looking to target Lynx + Hustler for a couple of nights each (flexible though) and hopefully snag some big northerns.

I've seen some tips on the forum that say to use Daredevle spoons, super shad raps, & others but I also know the northerns head deeper as the season goes on.

Any tips for colors to use & getting to the right depth in either Lynx, Hustler, or even Shell along the way?

Any other species worth targetting along this route?

Several years ago we did very well with walleyes and smallies on Lynx. I love that lake, probably one of my favorites.

A 12cm Husky Jerk in gold and brown is a great trolling lure for pike during the day and other species in the twilight hours. Put a titanium leader on if you are trolling this lure during the day around rocky points and through narrows. A taildancer in perch or firetiger that dives to about 15 to 20 feet can dredge up a big pike on cloudy days too.

Thanks for the tip HighnDry, will give the husky jerk a shot, need to snag some titanium leader for sure. Looking forward to checking out the new area, first time out that way for me
