Went to lakeside cabin in Hayward WI and found lots of small bluegills and bass plentiful around the dock.
Grandkids had fun fishing ... I couldn't put worms on their hooks fast enough. My 3 year old grandaughter called this one in the pic a "MONSTER". Precious moment.
Can't wait to bring grandkids up north to Quetico for some real fishin'.

Shock,
+1 on jig spinner being one of the most versatile and underrated lures ever.
I was up on Comnee Lake in Quetico many years ago and a newby I brought along “schooled me” one afternoon on walleye. He was using a chartreuse jig with a white twister tail and gold blade spinner and I bet he caught 4 for every 1 walleye I caught. Made me a believer that day.
I always have some jig spinners in my tackle box now. Lots of smallies and northern hit a jig spinner too. I have a bud who swears by a large heavy jig spinner with a 5 inch Kalin Grub and Silver Spinner blade.

Wally13: "Shock,i've brought long shank 3/4 oz jig heads add a 5" tail & spinnerblade , you have a larger profile bait and it will cut the wind for longer cast, no matter how strong the wind is.
