Oh, that makes sense, my bad. I switched to a bridge hammock but my daughter really likes the Blackbird XLC gathered end, except that she really wants to have the foot pocket on the left so I may be following your steps soon and trying my hand at making a "left handed" hammock.

If you want to reverse the lay direction on the BB XLC you just kinda “flip it over”—maybe a couple steps to get the bug netting and shelf switched right ways too but not hard. Pretty sure on the WB web site the video for the BB XLC talks about how to do it. I would watch that 5 minute video before you build another hammock from scratch.
