Next year we hope to count to 14 or 15... This year we're reading last year's daily journal entries.

Agree. My kids know Jon and Erin by site by the number of camping videos we've watched. Great channel.

So pretty. 45 minute for 3 days. Looking forward to the rest.

Did she call that pike a "slime trout?" haha

Haha yeah I don’t think I’ve heard “slime trout” before but I like it

I love Jon and Erin's videos! I have been going back watching all their previous ones over this Summer. They live in an amazing area of Ontario just off Lake Superior.

Jon and Erin are huge fun to watch. They have helped my sanity immensely during the stay at home order. Thanks for the link!

The McNiece portage looks like its gotten ugly with new growth after the fire. Not enough traffic in Quetico this summer to beat it back a little.

Can anyone clue me in about the “have a smoke” portage? I’m wondering too.

The part of the video in the Stanton Bay lot shows my rental car in the background.

They sailed east on Pickerel with a rare semi-powerful wind from the east - the same wind my son and I battled against for two days coming out of Maria. When we put in at Stanton on July 25, we also batted a typical wind out of the west. We got totally ripped off! :)

I noticed they struggled to navigate Deux Rivieres. We avoided that by taking the B Chain to Sturgeon. Water levels were very low. We also stopped at Blueberry Island. Very cool to this pair documenting parts of our route. Looks like they went east out of Chatterton. We went west to big Sturgeon. Need to watch the rest to see where else they went.

What do you think of those hammocks vs a tent? You don't have to listen top your spouse snore.

Not quiet had enough? Here is a video from another couple. They were there at just about the same time as the other one. Don’t let the hard edge music at the beginning put you off - it’s just a short intro. Overall a nice video.

Part 4 a couple days ago. Part 5...the finale....today. Saw a whole bunch of familiar places. The island campsite on Baird......neat place to revisit via video. Great series. Thanks to BCA.
