Ely Grand Lodge and Boathouse Brew Pub were both open two weeks ago. Insula and Ely Steakhouse were takeout/curbside only.

We visited the Boathouse on Tuesday. COVID 19 precautions are in place. Good burgers and sweet potato fries. The daughter said the fish was good too. Beer is pretty tasty.

We ate at the Boathouse and the Ely Steakhouse last week. The Steakhouse also has 4 tables on the sidewalk available first come first serve.

Ely Chamber of Commerce puts out a new list each week. My link here goes to the Sept 7th publication and would need updating for the future. A better webmaster would make a link that would point to each week as it comes along, but it's better than nothing.

What is open closes at 8 most nights, and a few at 9--esp on Fri/Sat (Sir G's, Rockwood--altho i think rockwood only is doing outdoor seating, and that ends this week..., etc.). Most have at least take out available, if no indoor seating.

If you are getting in town late or coming out late, definitely keep the limited hours in mind. We stopped in Virginia on the way up, bc nothing would be open by 830 (it was a tuesday). When we came out, by the time we showered, our only option was the Grand Ely Lodge--which is open until 10.
