I put together a little video of our recent trip to Sawbill Lake. Tried a "concept" of depicting a single, satisfying day from morning fog to evening fire. Hope you enjoy... An awesome day on Sawbill

Trip WAS good. Hope yours was too! I do not know who "Cory" would be. The guys were Steve, Craig, Jeff and me. Check out the trip report for more info.

Those islands across from that campsite catch a lot of people's eye

If I watch that in January I'm gonna cry. That was real nice and pulls at the heartstrings of what we love so much about that wild place.

I like your old Feather brand paddle. Made before people got all gaga about fancy paddles.

Thanks, Tumblehome! I bought that paddle when I bought the canoe that you see (Alumacraft QT-17cl--also purchased before people got all "gaga" about Royalex, Kevlar, Duralite, etc., and I still love it as a good, basic canoe) about 27 years ago. Neither the paddle--it's flaked off much of it's varnish and has a split that's as wide as 1/8" and runs much of the blade--or canoe are new anymore but they still function well. I must admit that for my paddle of choice, I've now graduated to a Bending Branches (still wood) Viper with double-bent shaft and I really like it. I've kept the old paddle though for trip partners like this year's newbie that you see in the video and who was just grateful that there was something for him to use on the trip that he did not have to buy or rent.

I never get tired of otter footage. They are the cutest and most playful wild animals. Otters always make me smile. Thank you
