The Maples are in full bloom the Birches are a couple weeks from peak up there , try to support the businesses up there they are hurting and could use a boost, even my favorite Trail Center

I was fishing for trout , the rainbows were very active on small spoons, also caught a couple small Lakers and very small Brookies. I will be back up in early October to see the birch trees in their glory and to catch bigger Brook Trout

I’m glad you are having a great time and the fall colors are looking good. I hope the businesses get some support from leaf watchers, hikers, hunters and fisherman this fall. Maybe some of the football fans who normally go to or watch Vikings games will travel up north and support the economy. I think Lou’s Smoked Fish shop in Two Harbors gets fresh cheese curds in from Wisconsin regularly.

You forgot to mention which lakes you were fishing. I'm sure it was just a minor oversight, will wait patiently for updates.
