I just picked up some used tackle that included ~10 buzzbaits and ~10 spinnerbaits. I'm heading in next Wednesday and I'm curious if anyone fishes these lures this late in the season.

My thought is northern will hit anything so I was going to throw them in the box. Any advice on how to use them or whether they're worth the weight?

BTW: we're happy to catch anything and usually eat a few, but throw anything big back.

Large white spinnerbait is a great color for pike , add a 5" twistertail .

locally , when the water temps hit that 48*-49* temp we throw 1oz spinnerbaits of all colors for large largemouth bass , and do very well ,

Awesome, thanks. We've got a mostly water trip with few portages, so we're going to pack in all kinds of extra fishing gear to see what works. We'll throw these in.

i'll say this chuckles , probably not too many fisherman have thrown buzzbaits in the BW's water . mainly because of lack of LMB but hey who knows big pike big smally's ?
if targeting pike the mepps musky killers are right on target. . if you find a place with weed cover up to the top of the water line or lilly pads , for sure try a buzzbait . with a surface type bait i would think finding water structure in the 9"-15' would be the most productive.
