Hello,
I am in the market for a nice canoe for the family. I just saw one for sale thats a 1989 Sundowner in TufWeave. They are asking $1100. From the photos, it does look like its in good shape. I really dont know what these things hold as far as value. Is this a good deal or does that seem too high for a 30 year old canoe?

The price is high. I have never seen them higher. If the boat has been stored indoors or with a cover and you like it, it might be worth somewhere near that amount. I would offer less. I just sold a recen Bell Northwind for $800 in Royalex. I also sold a Wenonah Cascade with wood gunwales for $750.

In Tuffweave . That's more than a new one cost in 1989

Quite high--although I knew it was a good deal (from a fellow paddler), I bought a 90s Kevlar Sundowner in very good shape for $800.
