Let's see your carvings! I usually just do a simple face while helping my kids, but this year I felt inspired to try making a BWCA-o-lantern. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Took a moment to catch the intricate designs you made. Looks good. I did not at first enlarge the picture. That helped a lot.

BWCA pumpkin -- great idea! We haven't carved ours yet this year but here are our creations from last year. I'm not sure I'm ever going to be able to top my leaf pumpkin.

Emergency rooms this time of year have an abnormal amount of knife wounds. Be careful people!

And the leaf sure looks like burr oak!

I think you're right! I used a leaf from my neighbors tree for a template.

Here's my pumpkin from this year. I call it "Ode to Eagle98." Yours looked like just after sunset to me so I was trying for full night time. I'm not satisfied with the glow from the tent but I was pressed for time and those white pumpkins are super hard!

Wow! That is super cool. Did you just thin the wall behind the tent? Or how did you do that?

Thanks! And that's exactly what I did -- shaved off the outer shell then scraped the inside thin.

Nice, creative stuff!
We had a contest at work one year which I won. It was in no way as good as these pictured, but i made the jack o lantern look like our boss, with glasses and lanyard with company ID badge and all.
