Anyone hike these two trails back to back, looking at doing this spring, with part of SHT to Grand Marais, how long would these two hike take depending on trail conditions, just a rough estimate, probably going solo unless someone is interested in this type of trip.

You did it so fast you probably didn't have time to take pictures.

They are both on my list of hikes, but I know I can't complete them both in 8 days. Glad you had a good trip! I would love to see pictures if you took some ;)

Nice job! Eight days sounds about right for a committed hiker. Did it end up being three days on the Kek and five on BRT? Or did you cross from one to the other in the middle of the fourth day?

I've been talking for a couple years about hiking from downtown Ely to downtown Grand Marais via the Kek, BRT, and SHT. My math calls it a day to get from Ely to the Kek trailhead, three days on the Kek, five on the BRT, and from personal experience I know it's three long days to get from the top of the SHT to downtown Grand Marais. So that's twelve days. I'd probably schedule it for fourteen just in case, but your data point suggests that 12 isn't unreasonable.
