Anyone hike these trails back to back, planning spring hike, hiking these two trails plus part of SHT to Grand Marais, probably go solo unless someone is interested in doing this type trip, have a two week window to do this, have all the light gear I need for it, any info about these trails is welcome.

Housty9, this guy, Matt Davis, is the regional person for the north country trail association. The kek and border route are part of the NCT system. He lives in Detroit lakes.
Years ago I met a woman in her late 70’s who hiked from ely on the kek to the gunflint trail and then hooked up with border route to Lake Superior and got on the superior hiking trail to two harbors where she got a ride back to ely.

There may be some options on meetup.com or maybe the NCT has a way to connect people who want to hike.

Good luck!

I've met Matt a few times since we have our Detroit Lakes connection, I am also a member of the NCT.
