Located in Mountain Lake, MN. It's 73.5" where the canoes go.

Can I ask how it secures to the truck bed?

Because of the rambox bed it's snug under all of the rails. I transported locally without any ratchet straps but used them for peace of mind going on long trips when I knew I'd be going 70 mph+ but it never budged.

Look closely and you will see 4 blue straps that go from the truck stake pockets to the wood supports.

It would if you brace it differently.

Considering today's wood prices, that's a pretty good deal.
