I ran into a fellow ice fisherman the other day that was telling me stories about his time up in WCPP (20+ trips). It had me daydreaming again about making a trip across the border one day, but I think lady luck is against me (injury in 2019 and of course covid in 2020). Has anyone ever attempted to go to either park in the winter and what was it like? I will be finishing college this December and will most likely make a winter trip to the BWCA.

Just one guys opinion, but WCPP seems like a hell of a long ways to go to ice fish. Even the Q seems like a lot. Seagull may seem busy in summer, but I’m guessing gives plenty of fish and isolation in winter.
