I have never motor permitted before and am new to the process. Been perusing the permit site after we were completely blanked on any Moose Lake motor permits and I see that there are lots of Saganaga permits still available season-long. That stuck me as curious because ALL of the Moose permits were gone in minutes.

Why is this? Is Fall/Moose better fishing? closer to civilization? faster/easier to get to? better scenery?

Just curious.

Thanks,
Robert

I’ve been able to get motor permits for sag on the day I fished it! But I’ve also seen it booked a few weeks in advance too. This has always been in early June. But typically, it’s pretty easy to get a motor pass for sag. Even easier for sea gull.
