I've been thinking of mounting a shoot through hull transducer in my MNII. The only problem I have is the unit itself. Its a Eagle FishElite 642igps. I'm looking for compatible maps with that old unit that might give info in the BWCA but more importantly fishing here in S MN. I get overwhelmed trying to keep up with what Navionics, LakeMaster is doing, if they are even still in the market. Any advice?

Navionics will list all compatible plotters for their products on their website.

I don't think any current offering from Navionics or Lakemaster is going to be compatible.

While some older units are "compatible" with newer chips, they often lack the processor power to adequately use the chip. Zooming in/out or panning around on the map can be a miserably laggy experience. When that unit came out a 1 gigabyte SD card would have been considered huge -- maybe the biggest available? In contrast, current Garmin units take 32gb cards and are built with processors to handle that data.
