I read this somewhere. Supposedly the vodka will preserve the minnows for quite a while and they don't get as mushy.

Has anyone tried it?

Fish where the fish are...

Seems like a waste of perfectly good vodka to me.
Maybe do some kamikaze with the leftover.

I question whether or not there is any such thing as “perfectly good vodka”. But supposing there is, if the fish aren’t biting you could always eat the minnows.

I've gotten to pretty good results with salting my leftover ice fishing minnows. Takes some practice as with any recipe. I've got some cheap old vodka so will do some searching for a recipe.

Vodka is useful, it makes a good base for compound gin. :)
