Mad_Angler: "I read this somewhere. Supposedly the vodka will preserve the minnows for quite a while and they don't get as mushy.
Has anyone tried it?"

I question whether or not there is any such thing as “perfectly good vodka”. But supposing there is, if the fish aren’t biting you could always eat the minnows.

Vodka is useful, it makes a good base for compound gin. :)
