I purchased a used Souris River from an outfitter and would like to remove some stickers. Would I be safe to assume a product like Goo-Off (which I think is basically kerosene?) would be safer vs. acetone? Any suggestions? thanks!

I would try heating the sticker with a hair dryer. Be careful and check the heat temperature with your hand on the side of the canoe. You are just softening the glue that holds the sticker on, not melting the canoe. Ive done this with bumper stickers on cars. Just watch your temperature and don’t hold in one place too long.

I bought my canoe from someone who had bought it from Piragis. At least 10 years, I used a razor blade to get under the edge, then peeled. It came off pretty easily, and I probably followed up with Goo Gone. Just know that there will be an outline of the sticker since the area under it was protected from UV.

Bunch of pansies! Use a chainsaw. Bonus points if you do it with your eyes closed. "
Can they use their "Safety Squints"
You can always put a sticker over the outline of the one you take off...
