Looking into a mid April trip on the Buffalo River in Arkansas. Are there trees to hang a hammock along the route?

Yes. There many years ago. Seemed woodsy enough.

I live two hours from the Buffalo River. There are so many trees, you may have a difficult time finding two trees to hang your hammock without other trees getting in the way. LOL.

Seriously, mid April is a great time to float temperature wise. Great fishing too. But, April is a rainy month. The river can fluctuate rapidly so you never know if the river will be at a great level or at 15 feet above flood stage. There are some alternate rivers in the area that are beautiful also. They are smaller so they will go down faster if there is a moderate rainfall.

I'll be glad to help you with any information you need for your trip. I float and camp along the Buffalo River several times a year.

yes, The budding trees are magnificient. You may indeed hang but depending on water levels you may have to go up.
The Buffalo she goes up she goes down fast. Tie your boat and always put a stick at the water edge when you make camp so you can see how fast the water goes up or down.

I loved the Buff in the spring for the flowers.
