5/23 Lost blue food barrel on Snowbank Lake, likely in the boot portage area. If found please return to Spirit of the Wilderness Outfitters. Thank you.

Customer came out at Lake One yesterday around 10 am. Another car pulled up, sort of blocking his view from his two Sealine bags. (not that driver's fault).
He had a yellow Sealine Baja 55L bag and a "Big Blue Sealine bag too.
They were sitting near each other.
If anyone saw these or brought them to the WELY radio station or the Forest Service building, please let me know. I'll forward any info to him.
He lives in Chicago and is a firefighter.

Lost Wallet!
Stayed at Campsite 641 on Caribou Lake. Came out Friday June 4th. May have fallen out of cargo pants loading at campsite or on portages/getting out of canoe on way back from Caribou to Lizz Lake to Poplar and exited at the Poplar Lake Boat Access. Drivers license, credit cards, cash, hunting and fishing licenses all missing.
If you find please reply!

I had a group come in that said they had a pack taken off a tree and it was missing. I thought immediately a bear. But this is what they told me;
They were camped (second day) on Wind (see attached map). They hung all 3 packs up with separate ropes on separate trees. They went out to fish. They came back to camp around 11 am and noticed a bag was missing. I think they said the rope had been untied.
They searched around the campsite & into the woods but no spot of it and no sign of a bear getting into it, unless it dragged it really far off.
It was an Ocean Pack brand /waterproof bag, black with white lettering, 30L. Also has “Olsen” written in yellow paint pen along the top edge (where it rolls to make it watertight.
It was the pack with some of the food, mostly fish breading, oil, & I think other misc. items. All 3 packs had food in them, only one was taken.

Lost a cross necklace that has nothing but sentimental value. Left it at campsite on the right hand side just before the .5 rod portage before monument portage on Canadian side coming in from American Point. Should be laying in front of the fire pit where we sat for a fire. If found, please text 920-427-3061. Thanks

Somehow I managed to leave my favorite hot weather portage shirt at a campsite near the SW corner of Lake Agnes via Moose River North entry. It's a lightweight Patagonia nylon Men's Medium LS light tan color button down shirt with the inside lower tags cut off. Left it in excellent condition on the rock behind the fire grate on June 9th. Weather was so extremely hot on this trip that I didn't notice it missing for several days, then returned to site to check for it but it was gone already.
Happy to pay postage plus a nice tip to whomever may have found it.
Thanks!

Hey Speck007, that's great news--thank you!
I checked with my trip partner and he has his sandals, so the pair you found must belong to another party that used the site after we did. I'm messaging you off the board with my address for the shirt.
Many thanks!!!

Hey All, Unfortunately Speck's discovery wasn't my item after all.
If anyone found a Men's LS Patagonia lightweight button down shirt at a camp near the SW corner of Lake Agnes (left it there on 6/09/21 per older message above), please message me off the board. Thanks in advance!

Lost a water bottle (has sentimental value) at the Moose Lake side of the Found Lake portage on 6/21. It's a nalgene with stickers. Might have rolled into Moose Lake? Or just into the bushes. Not sure, but if anyone happens across it....

Hey folks, I left a homemade banjo behind on Seagull lake this morning. I believe it was left on the southernmost island site in the motor zone on that lake, although it could have been on the island site just west of that. If anyone sees it or grabs it please let me know!

One of my guides found a digital camera at the lake one landing. Few small items inside the camera case. Would love to get it back to the rightful owner. If it is yours, please call 218-343-7951 and ask for Nick or email Nick@elyoutfittingcompany.com with a brief description and we will get it back to you!

If someone who's going to be near there can contact me, we can tell you just where to look to find it. A beautiful spot. Would love to have the phone back, and will happily pay postage and reward the retrieval! Randy E., 303-519-6464.

$200 reward if found soon (before it's damaged by rain)! Specifically, I believe I set my iPhone down while collecting water from the shore around the corner (just a few steps... maybe 10-20?) from the main place people would normally go to water's edge from the campsite. So if you walk down the rocky slope to the water from the campfire\cooking area, and go left (out toward open lake\away from sandy beach), I believe its right there, within 4 feet of water. I would so appreciate getting it back because I have some precious BW photos on it (call hubby at 303-519-6464). Thank you for reading this post.

Well all bwca boaters, the phone has been found! It was in fact tucked in the tent net pocket and packed up with the tent! Our daughter decided to have a sleepover camp-out in the back yard, and she found the phone when she set up the tent! She's aware of the $200 reward - should she get it?
Enjoy the lakes and islands and eagles, everyone!

Found: on portage between Ensign and Boot Lake (closer to side of portage near Ensign) a pair of glasses, on July 4th.
Customer found them, brought them to us (at VNO) so I could get this message out & maybe someone will see this who owns them.
They might just be "readers" because they are marked "China" and say +1.0, 2mm
The lenses are sort of rectangular, look more like a man's glasses.

Lost: four fishing poles on portage between brule and Vernon. Two kids poles and two adult poles. Had a medical emergency and got the poles hopelessly tangled in the trees. Was too freaked out and didn't think about just cutting the fishing line so ended up leaving poles behind in my rush to get my daughter to medical help. She is doing fine now. But if anyone finds the poles it'd be nice to have to them back. Let me know if anyone finds them.

Arcticgrl - I found four fishing poles on that portage, two children's poles and two adults. I agree - hopelessly tangled! Good to know daughter is well.

LOST: Ugly Stick Big water trolling rod. It had an abu Garcia reel with a digital line counter. Lost Friday July 9th around 11am Entry point 16. We went back to entry point 16 around 1:00 to look for it, and met a man who said that some people leaving the boundary waters asked if it was his then when he replied no they took the rod. He said they may have had an outfitter worker with them. We are hoping someone is holding it for me. This rod has great sentimental value and if anyone knows anything about it please contact Cam 612-559-1526. Thank you

LOST: Pair of Keen Newport sandals. My daughter was on a school trip and had them last night at Seagull Three Mile Island campsite, but did not have them this morning when she got back to the Gunflint Lodge. If anyone finds them please let us know ejmo02@msn.com

Lost: Cell Phone (Iphone SE) in Waterproof Plastic case with "Piragis" logo. Lost yesterday, July 14th 2021 somewhere between Thomas and Ima. We stopped for a quick break once we finished the Hatchet Creek section into Ima, so it is likely on the landing that faces West across Ima. Please let me know if your group found this phone and we were lucky enough that you picked it up!

Hi, we lost a cell phone & dry bag on Friday 7/16 on Poplar Lake, somewhere between the NW landing and the portage into Lizz. I went back and checked the landing, not there. Also no luck reaching out to Rockwood (which had a bunch of paddlers heading out that morning, hoping someone found it.) Finally, no luck at the Gunflint Ranger District office.
Happy to provide more information if you found it! Aside from a lost phone, we had a great five days in the wilderness.

Lost / Forgotten - (2) Wenonah bench type Super Seats, (1) map case, McKenzie maps 18 and 19, blue pen, athletic tape, and compass. Left on the rock to the east of the sign at the Lake One entry point at approximately 9:30am on Sunday, 7/25/21.

FOUND: Disposable waterproof camera found sitting on a rock at the south end of the portage from the Kawishiwi River (south of River Lake) to Fishdance Lake on 7-26-21.
Send me a PM if you are the owner. We had passed just 2 groups heading north on the Kawishiwi River earlier in the day, one group with 2 canoes (mixed gender group) and another group with 1 canoe (2 guys). Did it belong to one of you?

A green Duluth Pack-style pack was left along a portage between Kawishiwi and Kawasachong. In it was a 2-burner camp stove wrapped in a blue tarp, along with fuel cans and a separate gray nylon bag containing a solo MSR butane stove and some fuel cans. Anyone heading up through Kawishiwi and feel like grabbing it on the way out, it would be greatly appreciated.

Lost bag of kitchen stuff near Splash Lake.
A brown bag containing fuel bottles, kitchen utensils, griddle and a folding saw was left at one of the portages on splash lake, 8/10/21. I believe it was on the Newfoundland lake side where we were waiting for a tow to Moose. There was a little confusion and picture taking between the time we crossed and the loading of the boats.
Let me know if you found it or drop it off at Canoe Country Outfitters.
thanks
Mike

Walkie Talkie. Camo color. Cobra brand. Disappointment Lake
My buddies flipped their canoe in the high winds this week and lost one of my walkies. It's a long shot but the model I had was a floating one, so I hope it floats somewhere :/
I think it was right about here.

Found a water bottle on a portage on Isabella River on Aug 16th. Found a bandana on the portage between Bald Eagle and Gabbro on Aug 16th. Found a hat at the portage between Gabbro and Kawishiwi on Aug 19th. This was our first family trip to the BWCAW and it was like a treasure hunt!
Email a picture or description if these might be yours and I'll send them off.

Reward: Lost on 9/12/21 at noon at the Newfound side of the portage (Newfound to Splash), a smaller (8x10) tan shoulder pack with one strap, desert tan color, with firearm and bush knife inside. Please contact me at 218-940-3893 if you have any information. I have reported this to Ely Police Department and if dropped off there, they will contact us.

On Saturday the 25th I left my Helinox sunset chair at the pick up point at the Birch lake portage from moose lake ( or whatever lake Moose runs into). Evidently got side tracked while putting my gear aboard the tow while fighting a pretty decent west wind. I’d gotten the chair out because I wasn’t sure at what point I would be picked up, but it’s turned out to have been a bad choice. Please give me a call at 731-610-6414 if you hear anything. Thank you, Buck Farrar.

Quercus: "Found on 9/21 on the portage between the Pauness Lakes: two fishing poles. Message with description."
Hey Quercus, I ran into a group from out of state on 9/18 that mentioned forgetting their fishing poles in that general area. They said they were outfitted from Ely Outfitters. I have no idea if the rods you found were the rods they mentioned, but if you feel inclined I supposed you could reach out to Ely Outfitters? Just thought I'd let you know since the group wasn't familiar with the online community here. :)

Lost: Key to 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Photo of identical spare below.
Actual key has a Walser Chrysler Jeep Dealership rectangluar keychain on it and was probably in a ziplock bag with a red bic lighter.
Entry point: 64 - East Bearskin Lake
Dates of trip: October 4th - 8th 2021
Last known location of key...as I was parking my car to walk to the loaded canoe on Monday, October 4th. I believe I was a bit excited to start the trip and have no recollection what I did with my key after parking the car. I honestly thought I locked it in the vehicle but a $135 locksmith charge, 1 hour of a honking horn before I could access the battery under the seat, and a night spent at the entry point landing in said vehicle has me thinking otherwise. I literally have no clue where l may have lost it but suspect I didn't secure it properly when we first left and they either fell out in the lake or on a portage on our initial entry date the 4th of October. Everyone is home now and safe and sound, just want to cast a net to see if someone's found them as they're expensive to get another.
Lakes/Areas Visited:
04-Oct - East Bearskin, Alder, Canoe (basecamped here for 4 nights on the far west campsite)
05-Oct - Canoe, Paddle, Rocky (bushwacked from Paddle to Rocky - highly recommended btw!)
06-Oct - Canoe, Johnson Falls (hiked from Canoe to Pine portage to the falls), Crystal, Spalding
07-Oct - Spent all day on Canoe.
08-Oct - Exit day...Canoe, Alder, East Bearskin.
Also want to put in a plug for the very nice folks at Bearskin lodge that let us borrow their phone and also to Cook County Towing who let us into the car!
In the slight chance you've seen or have my key please let me know!
Thanks!
Jeremiah

Lost- HI I lost a pair of black smith sunglasses on little caribou lake on the only campsite on the lake. The glasses are hanging in a tree nearish to the fire ring. Lost them on 10/10/21.
Its a longshot to get them back, but worth a try. Cheers.

Found: Eyeglasses on the Angleworm trail at a campsite on Tue 10/12 or Wed 10/13. Bronze frame prescriptions. Sorry no picture. PM me daily until I reply.
Time in the woods leaves no time for carving and drawing. Carving and drawing leaves no time for getting lost in the woods. I really need to retire.
