I have been trying for the last couple of days to book a BW permit through Recreation.gov website. I'm logged in, I pick my EP and date, and within seconds after I start to purchase the permit, I get a pop-up that says that I timed out. Literally five seconds or less. I click the button to go back but the same pop-up comes back within seconds.

Anyone else having similar problems? I "think" I'm doing everything right - I've bought permits before - but this is so odd.

Try a different web browser.

And maybe clear cookies?

I was on it last night. I had a timed out warning once - had to find my husband to discuss where to pick up permit- but otherwise I did not have any problems. Permit reserved and confirmed.

I have had trouble with the same thing. Even had trouble paying. Wouldn't let me pay.

IMHO it is not a well designed site. Shouldn't be any harder then ordering anything else, but they seemed to have done a good job making it so.

No issues for me. I'd clear browsing history, re-boot computer and try again. If that doesn't work - try another browser.

I reserved a permit on Friday (3/26) and it was quick and easy - no problems at all.

I ended up reserving it from my work computer and all was good. I actually did try clearing the cookies on my laptop at home, but it didn't change anything. Head scratcher, but the bottom line is it's done and all set.
