This is episode 14 of his 11 day Arctic Watershed solo trip in Canada. Just thought I'd post it as this is a whitewater episode. Really top notch photography as he uses a drone too.

This series is amazing in that the first half was just a horrendous bushwack that's hard to believe and now it's crazy white water in a canoe solo. I suggest starting from the beginning of the trip but this ep. will give you a taste.

I had just finished watching that episode this morning. I've been enjoying it.

I kinda wish I developed whitewater skills at a young age. I don’t have the nerve for that now. Especially solo so far from help where he was.

I don't have those skills either, Tom, but would like to at least know more.

Why do I click on this stuff to start my day?!! Now all I want to do is be outside. Ugh. Interesting that he had a 2x4 for a thwart...presumably for added strength. No yoke pads either. Wonder what Pigeon River Dave would have to say about these rapids...he likes that kinda stuff...

This was an epic adventure that few would be comfortable doing. I waited anxiously for each episode to be uploaded the last couple months. It takes a true sense of confidence in one's ability to embark on a trip like this!

I never noticed that before. Looks like he has the traditional Nova Craft Yoke with pad.

Where can get one of those barrel packs? Or was that custom?

I've seen him portage without a pad too in earlier trips. Canadians are rugged individuals. He's a bear of a man at 6 feet 5. I'm really hoping he hooks up with Justin Barbour for a trip. He's just as insane (in a good way). :)

During my original viewing of the video, I thought Jim had wrapped an extra PFD around the yoke. Guess not...thanks for the eye for detail.
