Hi all,
I currently have a RTIC 30 backpack cooler, but looking to upgrade to something bigger. Curious what others think about the how well / long the CCS bags keep stuff cold assuming it’s kept in shade and only opened briefly 2x per day?
Thanks!

Search and you'll find this discussed. Ive had my CCS deluxe food pack maybe 7-8 years and love it. Maybe best piece of gear I've bought. Get the set of 4 stuff sacks that Dan makes to go with it.
Just read on a bb somewhere that he liked his so much he bought a second. They stand up and easy to get stuff from zippered top, very comfortable on, rugged, easy to hang with rope and pulleys.

I divide my deluxe into two parts. In the bottom I slide a hard cooler for my frozen items and on top are rubbermaid containers for my dry food. The whole pack is awesome, very comfortable. Cant speak alone how well the pack does keeping things frozen because I haven’t used it that way.

Appreciate everyone’s input!
@lawnchair- what are the approx dimensions of your hard cooler you place at the bottom?
I bring in frozen food that just needs to stay cold (not necessarily frozen) and other perishables like eggs that again just need to stay cold

If you switch over to farm fresh eggs and ask the farmer to not rinse the eggs, you don't need to keep them cool at all, they're shelf stable. I did that the past few years and its worked out perfectly. I did make a box out of 3/4" rigid foam insulation to set the carton in. I could have stood on it and not been worried about cracking an egg.
