Possibly planning a 5-6 day trip in Sept. into La Croix, maybe Finger and thought I would take the tow into La Croix. I do realize the furthest the tow takes you in is Snow Bay (closed border) and I was more than willing to paddle the rest of the distance. I heard the tow outfitters have been cancelling tows for May and June as the water level in the narrows is too low. Has anyone else heard this and without being fortune tellers do you think I would be ok planning on a tow in Sept?

I wasn't sure if LLC tows were going because of the border being closed down for COVID.

They still were as of last year. No clue if water levels are truly an issue as those are normally pretty good sized boats/motors

I recall getting towed, without issue, during a very dry period several years back. For some context - We exited the Moose River and, actually had to walk our loaded canoe in a couple spots on that trip.

I spoke with Anderson’s this winter and at that time they planned on going as far as snow bay until the border opens. I’ve also seen them run some pretty low water in 56 rapids. Nowhere near that point yet I’d imagine. I haven’t been on Crane myself yet this spring but all the other lakes I’ve seen are still pretty high.
