I have purchased a few of the Primus Classic Trail camp stoves and used them with the standard MSR three legged canister stand. It is easy to loan these out to Boy Scouts as they are indestructible and cheap. They work great simmer to all out boil. I would suggest trialing the actual stove ($15- $20 at REI) prior to investing in the Voyager stand.

I got one for Christmas. I intend to use it in the BWCA for the first time in June. I did a short trial in my garage. I think the burners might run a little hot for some things like pancakes. I picked up a cheap heat diffuser so I think it will be fine. I like the compactness and the tall sides to keep things warm. I prefer 2 burner stoves so I’m hoping it works out. The only thing I think would make it better is if there was a full size grate that would raise the pan/pot a bit higher off the burner. The individual grates are small and you need to make sure your pan is centered or it will fall off.

We have one and it works great and pack nicely due to it folding flat. The only issue is like stated above, the burners are a tad small as we carry a 12" pan which can be a little tippy. Solution for us was to cut down some square thin wall aluminum to use as little pan supports, they along with the burners fit inside our little water kettle.

I would also recommend getting the fuel saver hose. That way you use a single can of fuel for both burners. I've used ours for a few trips already and really like it. Much more stable than the single burner small camp stoves. We also have the Coleman legs which means we don't have to bend to cook. Though their small fold out legs work well.
