The tie out corners should be reinforced from my experience. I also run a line under the tarp as a support. I have the 12x12 and it is great when out of the wind.
I'm a fan or a continuous ridgeline, prusik knots, and carabiner (heavy load bearing). I have a 12 foot Nemo and carry a very long line (CCS 75 foot) to ensure I can reach between trees. Since it is a larger tarp, it is easier for me to set up the line first and then connect the tarp. I then center and tension as needed. I also carry two extra hanks of rope, just in case, for the non-ridgeline tie outs.
On windy days drop the windward side to lessen the impact of the breeze on you. In really high wind, tie up the netting to reduce stress on the tie outs and stakes (rarely have that many bugs in high wind anyway).
Use a snake skin or tie the netting up to the tarp to make setup and takedown easier in the wind.
Only other tip I have is to angle the main ridge line slightly to the down-hill side to help with rain drainage.
