I asked a couple years ago, but checking again to see if anyone has been through or stayed on Kawasachong in the last year to see if the campsites are open, and if they are, are the sites any good? Has there any re-growth yet and any firewood for campfires?

The two campsites on the east side are open. I stayed at the southern one last fall; someone else was at the other. It was adequate for me solo and about average. I don't usually have a fire and didn't then, so didn't pay much attention. I'd say you'd probably have to go somewhere away from camp to find serious firewood.
