I need help getting files for my lake 1 to moose lake for my garmin device. My more specific post insisted I was posting links.

I leave early May 30, and don't know what to do.

I wish I could explain everything like I did in my original post, but the software keeps blocking me.

Darn electronics. Darn web...

I'd pick up a few maps from the outfitter.

We will be getting physical maps, but want electronic backup with garmin inreach. Any post I make with details about my situation says I have links in the post. (I don't) I cannot figure out how to explain my situation.

I have a garmin.

It is an inreach explorer plus.

We leave early tomorrow.

Lake one to moose.

I wish I had done this earlier, but I've spent the last few weeks arranging a place for my mom with Alzheimer's (who lives with us full time) somewhere to stay while we are on this trip, My sister is trying to sue us over our care for mom - so believe me when I say this has been fraught, it's the first trip we've taken in 2 years.
Anyone have any workarounds that can help? I have spent the last 2 days with my available hours to try and figure this out - and I am coming up empty.

post your location. Maybe somebody can stop by and help?

For just campsites and portage locations, Google BWCA campsite portages gps and you will find a variety of sources. I haven’t downloaded any and so can’t recommend which one is best.

Good luck with your trip. I know how hard caring for someone with Alzheimer’s can be and hope you get a good respite to heal yourself a bit.

Agree Butthead is who you need to ask. But time is not on your side. Have fun on your trip.

Hope things go as you plan with your Mom. Sounds like you really need to get away for a canoe trip.

You shouldn't need anything more than a map and compass with the Garmin Inreach. You can download the Earthmate app for free on your phone if you subscribe to the Garmin Inreach plans. Put your phone in airplane mode and use the Earthmate app. It will show where you are if you can't figure it out from looking at your map. I have all the campsites and portages on another Garmin device and don't ever bring it. Too easy to use map and if in doubt fire up Earthmate app and verify where you are. You could also download offline Google maps of Boundary Waters on your phone and use the phone in airplane mode. It will also show you where you are at if in doubt.

Thanks to everyone who offered suggestions. I ultimately deleted waypoints until I hit the magic number that let me import. Only took a few hours.

Yup. I still use a paper atlas on long trips.
