Folks,
As it is June and many cancellations are popping up weekly, I am sure hoping that August sees the same situation with last minute cancellations happening.

Is it likely I will see cancellations similar in August as I see in July? I only have two EPs I am hoping to gain access to.

It's possible but I wouldn't bank on it

I would speculate that cancellations will continue through the summer, but if you only have two entry points you are hoping for, you better have plenty of flexibility on dates.

I'm sure there will be cancellations, but others will be looking for permits too. Are they popular entries? And how much time do you have to monitor?

I have the freedom to monitor nearly every day as I have much time in and out of the office. I am taking a chance but decided to play it safe and book the less ideal date and we are proceeding as if that will be our time in the BWCA.

It's good you have the opportunity to monitor frequently as one might go quickly. And don't forget the cancellation thread at the top of the page. You could subscribe to it if you haven't. Good luck.

Not sure if it is a lot of the people who "hang" around here but I've been noticing more permits showing back in the system this year.

A number of people have called & changed their entry/trip route because they found one open they were happy to change to.
