July 9th-14th, the Banadad Ski Trail Association and Northwoods Volunteer Connection are hosting a trail clearing and widening trip on the Banadad Ski Trail. This is the Boundary Water's longest tracked ski trail and is maintained largely by volunteers.
This is a simply magical way to travel the Boundary Waters in the winter, but summertime is for trail maintenance for the next season's skiing! This project is open to both volunteers who want to drop in and work for a day or two and work from the trailhead, and to those who wish to camp in the interior and work on the Wilderness sections.
Leadership, tools, PPE, training, and per diem provided. Some camping gear (tents, sleeping bags/pads) available to a limited number of volunteers.
More information about the trail can be found at www.banadad.org.
