Hope you both did well. The bite was really tough for us during the early June heatwave. We managed a few nice lake trout and some wicked sunburn! I have not found anybody really willing to share much info at all on Sag these days.

My neighbor is friends with the Seagull creek owner, was up the second week of June. …so not current info but he caught a 30”, and a 30.5” walleye. Besides that also did really well. He said the owner already has 8-10 lunker walleyes this year. Sorry can’t give ya spots, but they use leeches on home made lindy rigs.
Hopefully you all have similar success!

My buddy just got back from a Little Sag trip on Tuesday. He was fishing for trout on multiple lakes and caught them when jigging with a little cleo in the deepest part of the lake. It's warm and the lakers are deep. It may not be Sag itself, but it's in the area. They did catch plenty of fish though, so maybe the heat helps gather the fish into the deeper holes so you know where to find them.

Just got back a few days ago. Walleyes could be caught, but you had to put in the work to find them. Smallmouth on the other hand we’re everywhere. Sometimes they became a nuisance when fishing for Walleyes. They were definitely hard on the Leech supply. No trophy walleye, the biggest I managed was 24”. Weather was hot and dry. I don’t think I have ever seen the streams along the North Shore as low as they are presently. The haze from the fires up north was also quite bad for a couple days.
