Hey all,

Heading up with my son after a 20-year hiatus. We're staying on Horse.

Anyone been there recently? We'll likely focus on Walleye, but open to just about anything.

Thanks and happy belated 4th!

some freinds of mine who typicaly stay on Iron stayed on Horse this year. They said the fishing was tough. They caught fish. SMB and some good walleye on the South end but they worked hard for every one.

There are a couple of very good places on the lake to focus in on but I would have to troll some deep baits to locate them. I did not mark them on my GPS. I dont know what the focus of your trip is but if its in the order of 1. son 2. fish ect. you would be better served heading North into Crooked.

Thanks Richwon, I'll do some research on Crooked. That seems like quite a hall from Mudro. We've only got four days so time will be an issue as well.

Thanks again, much appreciated.

Have not been there this year but the previous 2. The east shoreline of the lake and north of the mouth of the river has some nice humps. Portable depth finder will help you find them. Crawler harnesses worked well trolling with a bottom bouncer. Good luck!

Gmck - Thank you! I'll bring a portable to find structure and will be sure we have a few bottom bouncers - can't wait to get out there!
