Okay I did not realize how large this bait was when I ordered it. I wear an XL glove. The action on this bait is crazy. So Im not certain if I should take it on my trip or leave it home.

I'd take it. Crazy action baits are deadly on smallmouth. That spells big smallie.

Take it. If something happens to your canoe, you could paddle it home.

That’s a big swim bait. It should work on a hungry Pike.

Big baits = Big fish

That bait certainly won't catch anything if you leave it at home. I'd actually love to see that action of that bait.

You need to test it on local waters first. I bought some jerk baits on EBay that came direct from China. The first cast was good but after 15 minutes of fishing, they filled with water and lost their action. The price was too good to be true. I have kept them as the hooks are really sharp and are useful on other lures.

I have a very similar lure, also of Chinese origin. It has a very serpent like action, but I have not caught many fish on it.(SM) To be honest, I have not fished it more than a few times. I still think it has potential, especially for pike. I swapped out the trebles for in line hooks.
