I will be cancelling a permit for EP16 for September 3 on TuesdayJuly 20. I have a friend coming up from Florida for his first trip. I’d rather not chance the fires and bears for his first trip. We are heading over to Liz/Swamp on the Gunflint later in September. Hate to not go in 16, he will miss pictographs this trip.

Don’t cancel.
Sept is a long ways off. Fires will be out. Bears will move on to another lake where a fresh group of campers with food packs will be.
