Fishing off of Gabbro/Bald Eagle Lakes

We have a permit for mid September for Lil Gabbro. Curious if any of the other lakes around are worth going to for fishing. We only have 3-4 days this trip.

Right next door, so to speak, is Gull Lake, I’ve done well on the walleyes there. Also next door is Turtle Lake, which isn’t the most scenic lake, but has big northern pike in it. Turtle is a 180 portage from Bald Eagle. I think Gull has 2 portages, both easy.
