Did I hear correctly that the boat launch or Van Vac road was going to be under construction.

I have an ep 4 permit for August 22nd and was going to put in there.

Yup, closed effective July 8 for extensive construction. Alternate public access points are on Wolf Lake road, Burntside Lodge, and Passi Road. Parking may be limited.

Yes I believe that is correct. You can get winds still there, but your starting in the nortwest corner and often the winds come from that direction so that helps a lot. Also their are a few Islands you can hide behind.

We used that location for our late June trip because Van Vac was supposed to be closed while we were in (ended up getting delayed). The parking at Wolf lake is not large at all, maybe 6-8 cars. Scout ahead of time. Talk to an outfitter for a shuttle if needed. Don't assume you can show up that morning and get on the water and park a car. Not ideal until it reopens, check with the outfitters as they've all had to help people figure out how to manage this.
