I’ve never met Stumpy and I bet most of the group hasn’t either. He and I disagree on a lot of things but I think we get a long pretty well. We do share the love of the wilderness, and bushwhacking. He worked at the same outfitter as me but I came two years after he left.

I’m going to send him some flowers from forum users of BWCA.com to the funeral home. If you want to contribute, go for it, if not that’s OK too. I’ll just give it a go. Either way the family will know that they are in our thoughts.

They were first to right of her casket.
She used to kid me about the whole "Stumpy" thing.
You really stepped up, and I don't know what else to say.
It was a beautiful service.
I will love her until the day I die & hope to love her more.
Jesus blessed me with her.

Take care of yourself, Stumpy. Your love for her is palpable and her spirit will be with you until your spirits entwine again.

Hey stumps.

I'm sorry for your grieving. Many people sent in $ to contribute to your flowers. Some had notes with the funds, others not.
We are a family here. We share your sorrow.

Collectively we share the good times and bad. Loss is painful and it seems I am experiencing a lot of perpetual loss and I don't do well with it.
