I’m looking at my options for rebuilding a Kevlar Stowe Allagash Endurance 17.2 that I recently acquired. It needs everything but the hull. I am wondering if a set of tractor seats might fit in it, vs using hangers and web seats. If someone is selling a set and doesn’t mind answering a few questions about size/width (fore and aft) of each seat, to help me decide if they’ll fit, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

I'm not selling but would the dimensions of the base and tractor seat in my Prism be helpful?

I purchased a hard plastic boat seat and cut the back off. Far more comfortable than a tractor seat.

You might check directly with Wenonah. They used to sell them, along with footbraces, etc.

Cool beans, Mickeal. When you get old you'll wish you didn't cut off the back support. :D

UW - you might want to reach out to Nick @ NOW Outdoors... He recently scrapped his original fleet of Wenonahs and IIRC the majority of the seats were buckets and in good condition. He's an outdoor guide, so Google (or Facebook if you use that) should get you in contact with him.

I have (2) tractor seats from a converted MnIII. The pipe on the mid seat is 32”long on front and 30 3/4” back. The other seat has pipe 14 1/8” long, 5 3/4” between and is 1” id.
I have no other hardware, just the seats. If you can use them, there yours, + shipping.

Thanks to everyone who replied! I wanted to reply to everyone in order of the replies.

1. Thanks for the offer on the solo Prism seat. I may not have elaborated enough, but I was hoping for the entire frame, aluminum angle, slider tubes, and seat on the front and rear seats, to see if both front and rear seats (along with all mounting hardware) would fit the shape of the Allagash's tandem hull. I have learned that I would probably need a specific model (e.g. Spirit II) to have a chance of everything matching up.

2. Thanks for the great idea, but I happen to particularly enjoy We No Nah's tractor style seats and find them more comfortable than web or cane seats. Also, I think the Kevlar 17'3" Allagash weighed in at about 58 lbs from the factory! I am trying to keep it as light as possible since it is not even close to an "ultralight" Kevlar canoe.

3. We No Nah is out of a lot of accessories like seats right now.

4. See #2 - I really like the tractor seats.

5. I agree completely! If I installed a nice big boat seat in a canoe, I would definitely leave the back of the seat attached. Leaning back once in awhile is nice, especially if you're just out fishing for the day. I have Crazy Creek Canoe seats that strap onto my seats and they're very comfortable.

6. I emailed Nick and he responded right away. He said that all of his canoes' seats were webbed.

7&8. I think I can make these work! I can buy tube and angle locally, and I have a tig welder that I can use to stitch aluminum together. If I can get them for the cost of shipping, I will take them - thanks!! Let me know how much and how you want the money transferred/sent.

Thanks again everyone!
