So I ordered one. Liked what I read about the company and reviews of this tent. I'll report after I receive it. At 3.7lbs not the heaviest and not the lightest.

Anyone else have one?

Very common design, close to the Eureka MT Pass 1 person I had and several other name brands. I may have my doubts on the quality of inexpensive cloned gear, but am interested anyway on how good it is, in your opinion.

I just got one for the Drifty 250 event I completed in Wisconsin the beginning of this month.

I had originally intended on using a wonderful little Marmot backpacking tent I purchased off of craigslist for the event. I absolutely loved that tent but one of the tentpoles snapped irreparably during my first use during the MR340, leaving me in a pickle and my tent budget exhausted.

Against my better judgement but no more tent money to spare, and time running too short to find another preowned quality backpacking tent, I ordered this tent off of Amazon.

I did spray it with a waterproof spray as well as permethrin prior to my trip.

I used it five of the seven nights of the Drifty 250 and I was very pleased for the money. It only rained one night, moderately so, and I stayed nice and dry throughout. There were no major wind or water events so I can’t comment on that. It sets up incredibly easily and quickly, much easier than the Marmot I had planned to use. I was comfortable and felt like I had enough room. No poles were broken, unlike the more expensive Marmot backpacking tent.

I would say the major thing I didn’t like was the mesh did not go far enough down the side of the tent, like it does on a higher quality tent. There was less air circulation and slept warmer because of it.

Overall for the money, I thought it was great.

Thanks. Hopefully I'll be able to set mine up this weekend for some backyard camping. Then I'll give a report.

I will say it does take up a fair amount of space but I was canoe camping and bikepacking camping so it wasn’t as critical as if I were actually backpacking. For the short amount of time I used it, I was pleased. I love how easy it is to set up, also love that it is freestanding. I didn’t even take stakes with me. When I used the rainfly I secured the rainfly to the tent but didn’t stake it out. I did not have problems with condensation in the tent. Let us know how you like it after you’ve used it.

I ordered the Clostnature 2P backpacking tent and the similar 4P because I was looking for tents with awnings for shade. I thought the materials and construction were very good---similar to mid-range quality and price tents like Kelty (actually better waterproofing as I recall). The company was very responsive and answered several emails promptly. The quality is certainly excellent for the amazingly low prices. I ended up not keeping either tent because the dome shape slanted too much in toward the center, reducing the volume. A lot of people might not mind that, but some reviewers point out that that shape is constricting for tall people (reduces the usable length when you're lying down). Those tents need brow poles in my opinion. I do think Clostnature is a trustworthy company, if you're hesitant to order a cheap tent from a Chinese manufacturer. Obviously they have the materials and labor to make a good tent at half the cost of U.S. manufacturers.

Sorry this has taken so long to write...Work...

Anyway. I received my tent a few weeks ago. I was surprised at the good quality of materials.

I'm 5'10" a buck 50...ding ding. And fit very comfortably and can sit up in the tent. I've been waiting for rain to test the waterproofing but mother nature is not cooperating so I'll have to use the garden hose.

There are some good things I like about it and a few things that in my minds eye could be improved.

Pros.

1. Two ridge vents
2. 4 corner pockets
3. Unique guyline adjustments
4. Easy set up.
5. Light weight
6. Compression straps

Improvements needed.

1. Brow poll
2. The carrying bag has a zipper that can, if not paying attention, catch on the tent. Suggest a Compression stuff sack.
3. Needs a ground cloth included. Can be purchased separately.

So pending on its water proofing test I would take this up north.

You might consider contacting Marmot about repairing your tent. I have an older Limelight 3 where the zipper handle on one side the tent fly came off and the plastic fitting that held the tent poles together at the top broke.
For the cost of postage to return the fly to them, they fixed the zipper issue on one side and reinforced the zipper on the other side, and sent me a new plastic connector for the tent poles.

Thanks, for the Marmot tent repair suggestion. I was going to call but not sure if they would help me since I bought is second hand and I’m not the original owner. The tent pole snapped in the exact same place for the original owner and had already been repaired by Marmot (maybe REI Where it was purchased?) once. It’s obviously a design flaw or product defect I would think. I thought it was “good as new” after the repair but obviously not.

So an update to my review.

I set up the tent yesterday because the forecast was for rain and storms and I wanted to see how well the tent handled. I debated doing this because of all the ferrel cats in my neighborhood and I didn't want them spraying my new tent.

Still raining off and on now. So for the most part the tent has been in the weather for over 12 hours and I am happy to report the inside of the tent is bone dry. The rain fly beads off the water VERY nicely.

I will add two additional observations however.

The first is they need to add a third piece of velcro at the top of the flap that covers the zipper of the rain fly.

And the second is they need to add velcro straps and get rid of the nylon ties that you would use to secure the fly to the tent poles.

All and all a very nice tent that with a few improvements/ modifications by the manufacturer could be a GREAT tent for the price.
